Philosophy
Every body is unique by design. For that reason, every workout program should be tailored to the individual. There is no quick fix for strength and durability; no pill can be taken to be healthy and strong. There are, however, safe ways to achieve your goals and see quick results. This is done best with the help and guidance of a personal trainer. Having a trainer by no means makes the work any less difficult. It does, however, ensure you will be doing the right exercises properly and will be making the most of your time in the gym. Personalized programs work well because, with the guidance of a trainer, you can target you problem areas and challenge yourself with minimal risk of injury. Working out with a trainer also keeps you involved in your progress; it allows you to ask questions, give input, and get professional feedback while training. It is a given that some exercises prescribed will be disliked, and some even hated. The trick is to look at those exercises as a challenge and enjoy your workout as you get results. For best results programs will be changed every 6-8 weeks to keep the body from reaching a plateau. This change keeps it both challenging and interesting. The truth is if you're not having fun while trying to achieve your goals, you're not going to want to come in. My goal is to help clients achieve theirs. For some it is an up coming race; for others, it is losing weight or preventing osteoporosis. So, if your backhand needs more zing, or you simply want to be able to carry your child for one more year, lifting weights with the guidance of a trained professional is for you. |
